NALC がオランダで発足準備を始めた2013年に、私のボランティア活動も始まりました。

介護は、必要になった時に受けるだけではなく、日頃の活動を通して自ら積極的に介護(ボランティア）に関わっていくこと、その必要性をNALCの時間預託制度から気付かされました。

先ず、近所の介護施設を訪ね、7-8人が集う絵画クラブにボランティアとして参加しました。

コロナ感染期間は中止され、再開後は散歩クラブを担当しています。週に一度、車椅子を押して近くの公園を一緒に散歩をしています。

2025年後期よりNALCの会計を担当することになりました。オランダの介護施設で暮らしていらっしゃる日本人の方々が何人かいらっしゃいます。

NALC HOLLANDがオランダの中で幅広く活動できるように、その機会を広げていけるように尽力したいと思います。。

My volunteer work began in 2013, the same year NALC began preparations to launch in the Netherlands.
NALC’s time deposit system made me realise and learn that caregiving is not just something you do passively when needed, but  also something you should actively participate in (volunteer) through your daily activities.

I first visited a nearby nursing home and volunteered in an art club where 7-8 people gathered to draw letters and pictures.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility was closed to the outside world and activities were suspended.
After the pandemic subsided and activities resumed, I joined a walking. Once a week, we push the wheelchair and take walks together in a nearby park.
Starting this term, 2025, I am in charge of accounting for NALC.
There are several Japanese people living in nursing homes in the Netherlands. I would like to do my best to expand these opportunities so that NALC HOLLAND can carry out a wide range of activities throughout the Netherlands.
