Why I started with NALC Holland

Since I went to Japan I am involved in the people and fascinated by the cultural traditions. This means I am interested in topics which are connected with “ East meets the West” So when I was informed about the possibilities of NALC in Japan that people help/ support each other in a reciprocal way I thought this is also very useful for he circumstances of care/welfare in The Netherlands. Step by step I spoke with Dutch and Japanese people who are interested in NALC . Together we could find possibilities that Japanese people can do volunteer activities for Dutch people and for that they earn the so called credit points. With these “points” they can help their family in Japan. In summary a very good example of “East meets the West”.

NALC Holland設立を始めた理由

日本を訪問して以来、その文化、伝統に魅了され、そして人々との交流を持ち続けています。「東洋が西洋に出会う」ような興味深い事柄に触れてきました。そして日本で NALCのシステム；人々がお互いに助け合う制度のこと、を知った時、これはオランダ福祉の一貫として役立つに違いない、と思い、この制度について在蘭のオランダ人、日本人に説明をしました。これは一歩づつ、時間を要する仕事でした。そしてついに、「日本人がオランダの福祉施設でボランテイアをして、その時間で’ポイント’を貯める」、というシステムを作ることができました。このポイントで、日本にいるご家族を助けることもできるのです。「東洋が西洋に出会う」の良い例ではありませんか。
